Reviews and Ratings

John Masur WSET 3, Sommelier rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

This wine from winemaker Couly-Dutheil contains 100% Chenin Blanc grapes from the AOC Samur appellation. The texture is smooth, bordering on oily, but the acidity still leaves a mouthwatering finish. The flavours of lemon and yellow plum are complimented by mineral and floral notes. This dry-style Chenin can be paired with herbed chicken and pasta.
Established in 1921, Couly-Dutheil is one of the most well-known producers in the Loire, and what a great price for this Saumur Chenin Blanc. Les Moulins de Turquant won a Gold and Silver in the Concours des Vins de Loire. - Community Wine Reviews

Red, White & Drunk all over by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean writes about wine with a sensuous obsession... and often laugh-out-loud funny... Terrific.

Ms. MacLean is the disarming Everywoman. She loves wine, loves drinking ... ultimately, it's a winning formula.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
