Pretty and soft post-prandial sipper: no acidity that's discernible. Floral and fragrant like honey blossoms. This Romanian white wine is made form the Grasa grape and it offers attractive notes toasted almonds and ripe apricot. This botrytis-affected wine pairs well with Stilton and biscotti.

Food pairings: after dinner finger foods.

Reviews and Ratings

This Romanian dessert wine is made from the Grasa grape, which is only planted in 450 hectares of vineyards in Romania. Although Grasa is used to make both dry and sweet-style wines, this wine is a dessert wine made with botrytis-affected grapes to produce a semi-sweet style. Pair it with dark chocolate or soft blue cheeses. - Community Wine Reviews

Natalie MacLean writes about wine with a sensuous obsession... and often laugh-out-loud funny... Terrific.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
