Vintages Wine Panel: Gioia del Colle is a large DOC that stretches from the Basilicata border to the town of Bari on the Adriatic coast. This Primitivo (a.k.a., Zinfandel) is rich, ripe and robust, as befits the nature of the grape. My note: Notes of chocolate and ripe berries on the nose. Very New World styling, almost cabernet-like. Full-bodied and delicious.

Siniscalco Primitivo food pairings: barbecued hamburgers, backribs or steaks.

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
