Cedar-wrapped plums invite you inside this wine for your hedonistic pleasure. Smooth but full-bodied with many layers of flavour. A smokey finish is ultimately satisfying.

Cabernet Sauvignon food pairings: steaks, roasts, flavourful pasta dishes and faged cheeses.

Reviews and Ratings

Mike Byrne rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Mildly impressive probably overpriced
I got a little pepperment on the nose
Kim thought she got wine tipped cigar
probably would be good with a spicy dish like a curry
Unctuous cherry, cassis, cedar, blackberry, black tar and smoke-led presence. Tight and focused with a deep concentration of flavors framed by firm tannins.
Palate. A smooth, almost silky texture masks the firm tannic structure beneath, which really comes to the fore at the beginning of the long finish.
Cellaring Potential: Drink now to 2015.

2007 was declared a "Historic Vintage" by Concha y Toro (brochure uploaded in lieu of bottle shot)
