Natalie's Score: 91/100

Very mature with lots of acidity and chalky tannin. Tanned leather and dried herbs on the nose and palate. Decant 2 hours and pair with a rare steak. OTHER: Forest floor, rosemary, ripe berry, new leather and a whiff of earth are just some of the aromas in this structured red. The full-bodied, chewy palate flexes muscle and restraint, offering ripe black cherry, liquorice, clove and dried aromatic herb while firm, ripe tannins provide the framework. While it won't need many years to become accessible, it also has some staying power. Drink 2019-2026. Score - 93 (Kerin O'Keefe, Wine Enthusiast, May 2016).

Brunello Di Montalcino food pairings: roast pork, venison stew, lamburgers.
