Vintages Wine Panel: Pinot Noir appears to love the cooler climate of Tasmania. Made with fruit grown in the Tamar Valley (nearest to the island’s north coast), this Pinot saw the inside of French oak barriques for 12 months. Intriguing wild berry aromas pique the senses, while concentrated flavors of cherry, mulberry and spice combine with a velvety mouth-feel to give the palate a great deal to ponder and enjoy. Cellar for 2-4 years, or try it tonight. My note: A vibrant and deeply ripe Pinot with rich aromas of cherries and raspberries. Zesty acidity, silky texture. Full-bodied goodness without the heavy oak. Closed with a screw cap.

Pinot Noir food pairings: planked salmon, roast turkey, grilled game, mushroom risotto, Camembert.

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
