A vibrant and full-bodied southern French red wine made from Malbec grapes. There's a very firm tannic grip on the palate here so decant 1-2 hours and enjoy with a protein rich hearty dish.

Malbec food pairings: lamb cutlets, beef tenderloin, pasta.

Reviews and Ratings

This robust French red wine is made from 100% Malbec grapes that are grown in a single parcel of vines that is 14 hectares. This family-owned plot is located at a high altitude in Cahors, and is mostly clay-limestone and sideolithic soil, a red soil very rich in iron. Cahors is a medieval town and region, noted to be the birthplace of Malbec where the grapes have been planted for more than 2000 years. - Community Wine Reviews

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
