Vintages Wine Panel: Clos Saint-Denis is situated on the banks of the Richelieu River; it’s here, less than an hour’s drive northeast of Montreal, where pristine orchards produce world-class ciders like this one. Delicious as an aperitif or when served with apple-based desserts, this sweet but well-balanced cider features gorgeous flavors of honey and fresh apples. C’est magnifique! My note: Apple-ripe goodness with a lovely calibration between the fruit and the acidity.

Food pairings: apple pie, fruit cobbler.

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
