Reviews and Ratings

Darlene Myers - CAPS Student rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Great value wine. Clos la Coutale is from the Cahors region of Southwest France. France, being a country that labels its wine from Regions, and you have to know which grape comes from which region. This wine is a Malbec - a big juicy tasty Malbec. It has lots of flavours of spices and oak, but it's not over-powering the wine or cloying. This is a great wine at a great price.
Philippe Bernède can be proud of his remarkable Cahors 2010, from a family vineyard of 35 hectares planted with Auxerrois [Malbec], a beautiful garnet in color, intense, full-bodied, velvety with subtle notes of undergrowth and truffles, firm tannins, yet flexible, powerful and warm. The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
