Grapes were sourced from the Similkameen and Osoyoos regions and the wine aged aged for 18 months in oak. This is a full-bodied, tannic, rustic red with pleasantly bitter blackberry and blackcurrant notes. With the guidance of Ann Sperling, this winery has the potential to make great improvements.

Reviews and Ratings

Valerie Stride - WSET ADV rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

This wine is showing beautifully in 2012. Lots of black cherry, blackberry, and blackcurrant greet the nose with a nice kick of sweet spice. Aged 18 months in oak, the tannins are still showy, but not confrontational. On the palate, this Bordeaux-style red wine from Keremeos in the Okanagan, is carried by well-integrated red and black fruits, plump plum, and a pleasant oak backbone. Full bodied and dry, this is the kind of wine that you'll want to save and share on a special occasion. Clos du Soleil is making premium wines at affordable prices.

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
