From a vintage year that started off warm, then cold, then warm and then cool, Clos Du Bois' 2015 Russian River Reserve Chardonnay ended up with lovely white florals on the nose, elegant and vibrant with bright apple, pear and citrus flavours on the palate with toasty hazelnut and butterscotch flavours from oak ageing. Finishes long and vibrant with soft tropical and nutty notes.

Chardonnay food pairings: roast chicken, corn dishes, lobster in bun.

Reviews and Ratings

Clos Du Bois 2015 is a Russian River Reserve Chardonnay, full-bodied and well-rounded with tropical, ripe red apple, lemon curd, buttery and smoky on the palate from oak ageing. The 2015 vintages saw intense, short periods of heat followed by cooler weather, but this allowed the grapes to ripen over a longer period of time, allowing sugars to gather and flavours to develop. Chill and pair this Chard with a rich sea fish like Halibut or Mahi Mahi. - Community Wine Reviews

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
