A mouth-watering, full-bodied Malbec with a mouthful of blueberry compote, leather and dried herbs. Tannins are medium and chewy. Good now, better in a couple of years.

Food pairings: grilled lamb chops, liver and onions, pork sausages and grilled veggies.

Reviews and Ratings

Clos de los Siete 2016 is a blockbuster Argentine mostly Malbec red wine with grapes sourced from seven premium vineyards (Siete). The much-respected consulting winemaker Michel Rolland manages the winery and oversees production. A medium-bodied, supple and sensuous red wine blend with some Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. Look for ripe blackberry, blueberry, earthy and dried herb flavours on the palate. Tannins are chewy and there is great acidity for food. Good now, better in a couple of years. Try in 2022. - Community Wine Reviews

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
