Reviews and Ratings

Greg Hughes rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

It may surprise you to know that some of the oldest continually operating vineyards in North America are in the Hudson river AVA.  The region is situated in the southern tip of the state of New York.
The colour is a pale lemon colour.  Seyval (a French hybrid) is prone to oxidation, so it will deepen in colour. Don't be disheartened.  It should still keep for at least a few years.
The aromas have a pear candy, golden apple, and lily of the valley quality.
To the palate, it does seem to have some residual sweetness (15-20 g/l).  Look for more candied pear, lemon, apple, a touch of honey.
Clinton Winery may actually be named for the nearby county Clinton Corners, but few would object to having a winery named for themselves. Pair this plush white with wonton soup or yakitori.
