Reviews and Ratings

Marcia J. Hamm rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

What the heck is this you may be asking? First of all, Cien Y Pico means "Hundred & Something".This is a reference to the old, gnarled bush vines of Garnacha growing in La Mancha, the southern Castilian meseta. And Doble Pasta refers to a winemaking method where some of the juice is removed to make the tannins, and colour even more concentrated and intense as the ratio of skins to juice has just now increased during fermentation. However, for these guys, it's the name of their single vineyard, aptly named because of its inky blackness that stains your glass with purple colour! Black fruits with herbaceous notes dominate along with some cocoa and meaty "deli counter" notes! Suggested pairings include anything with salsa and of course "jamon" (Ham!) Great long lasting finish! Salud!

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
