A full-bodied Bordeaux red wine blend that leads with Merlot. Aromas of dark fruit and toasty oak with mouth-watering acidity. Tannins are fairly smooth, but still decant 1 hour and pair with a rare steak.

Food pairings: veal chops, rosemary lamb, roast pheasant.

Reviews and Ratings

Wineboy rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

I liked this one more than some others in my tasting room. I loved the aged Bordeaux nose with more complexity than you could ever expect at this price. Very dry style though. That's the only thing some may not appreciate, but I did. Plop a 2006 on the table for your guests and watch their reaction.
Château Plaisance 2006 Supérieur is a mostly Merlot (80%) red wine blend with 10% in Cabernet Franc and old-vines Cabernet Sauvignon. Look for ripe dark fruit, black plum, mocha and toasty flavours on the palate. Pair with a beef Bourgignon. - Community Wine Reviews

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
