Tanned leather and black fruit with a good grip on this full-bodied red wine. Great price. Perfect for hearty meat dishes. The quality designation for this wine is AC. This is a robust southern French red wine blend of 60% Tannat and 40% Cabernet grapes, both offering lots of tannic grip on the palate. Aromas of black raspberry, liquorice and clove-spice.

Tannat Cabernet Franc food pairings: rare grilled meats, game dishes, sausage cassoulet.

Reviews and Ratings

Château Peyros (2012) is well-priced Tannat. Cabernet Franc from the Madiran in Southwest France. This is a robust southern French red wine blend of 60% Tannat and 40% Cabernet grapes, with a tannic grip on the palate. Look for ripe, crushed raspberries, dark chocolate, dried herbs and sweet spice on this made-for-roasted-game powerful red. Decant and enjoy now. - Community Wine Reviews
