Vignobles Dourthe's Château Pey La Tour Réserve du Château from Bordeaux is a polished, medium-bodied red wine revealing layers of blackcurrant, violet, toasted oak and forest floor. This dry blend of sustainably farmed Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon shows supple tannins and impressive harmony on the palate. Serve it at room temperature with herb-crusted rack of lamb as the wine's savory notes complement the rosemary and garlic, or pair it with grilled rib-eye steak where the wine's structure stands up to the meat's richness. Cellarmaster Jean-Christophe Meyrou oversees production at this historic estate, which has been part of the esteemed Dourthe portfolio since 1990 and benefits from their commitment to sustainable viticulture across all their Bordeaux properties. The château's vineyards are situated on gravelly soils near the Dordogne River, where excellent drainage and sun exposure create ideal conditions for producing elegant, balanced wines. This Bordeaux Supérieur represents exceptional value and will continue to evolve gracefully through 2028.

Food pairings: prime rib roast rare, New York strip loin steak, Porterhouse veal chop.
