Big, blackened fruit, smoke, tar and brooding dark mystery on the nose and palate of this full-bodied French red wine. Grippy tannins and lots of punch on the palate. Oak aging makes this wine finish with dark spice and smoke. Pair with grilled meats in a hearty sauce or stew, lamb or hard cheeses.

Food pairings: Mediterranean spiced steak with red rice and quinoa dumplings, marinated beef long ribs on the bbq, beef stir fry.
