Chateau Montelena 2014 is a dry and medium-bodied California Cabernet from the Napa Valley. The red wine blend is 93% Cabernet Sauvignon and 7% Merlot grapes and is a real beauty with dark berry fruit and floral aromas with flavours of ripe black fruit flavours, anise, vanilla and dark chocolate notes on the palate. Drink now and for the next 15 years.

Cabernet Sauvignon food pairings: rare porterhouse steak, pork tenderloin.

Reviews and Ratings

Chateau Montelena is a muscular California Cabernet from the Napa Valley, could cellar to 2026. On the nose there are blackberries, rich cocoa aromas with dried cherry and earthy violets. On the palate, there are layers of ripe red berries, dried fruit, mineral and toasty nuts flavours with a rich red berry finish. Pair with smoked brisket. Drink now and for the next 15 years. - Community Wine Reviews

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
