Château Larroque 2016 is rich and supple on the palate with equal amounts of sustainably-grown Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. Spicy on the nose with ripe dark plum and cassis; dry, full-bodied and juicy with ripe red berry, plum, blackberry, savoury herb and vanilla flavours finishing spicy, smoky and long with food-friendly acidity. Tannins are fine. This vintage was awarded Gold at the 2019 Concours International de Lyon.

Food pairings: prime rib steak, roast lamb, oyster and kidney pie, game terrine.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
