Château Hauchat 2022 Fronsac (Famille Saby) is a Merlot-driven Bordeaux that surprises with its energy and depth from the 2022 drought-touched vintage. Aromas of blackcurrant, ripe plum and wild bramble mingle with forest-floor earthiness and a touch of cracked pepper. On the palate it’s full-bodied yet agile—rich dark fruit is underpinned by lively acidity and framed by fine, polished tannins. The finish lingers with savory spice and a whisper of graphite, promising cellaring through 2030+. This one will be stunning next to grilled entrecôte à la Bordelaise with garlicky butter, classic steak-frites or a holiday roast beef with rosemary jus.

Food pairings: lamb, grilled pork chops, pepper steak.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
