Natalie's Score: 98/100

A spectacular Bordeaux red wine blend from a superb vintage. This baby needs serious cellar time, then decant 1-2 hours and pair with a rare steak. On the nose band-aid, smoke, black fruit, toasty oak. Full-bodied, complex, beautifully structured with infinite length on the finish.

Reviews and Ratings

Jacky Blisson rated this wine as 96/100 with the following review:

"The King of wines; the wine of Kings" is the motto of this renowned estate, dating back to 1725. This was definitely my feeling when tasting the elegant, highly complex 2012. Fragrant aromas of exotic spice, black and red currants, cedar and violets spring from the glass, gaining in intensity upon aeration. Powerful and brooding, with dense, concentrated layers of rich berry fruit and spice. and firm, fine grained tannins. Lovely, fresh flavours linger on the long finish.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
