Château du Moulin Rouge from Bordeaux is an elegant, medium to full-bodied red wine showcasing notes of dark cherry, forest floor, graphite and dried herbs. This dry Cru Bourgeois Supérieur displays structured tannins and savory complexity that will continue to soften over the next five years. Serve it at room temperature with roasted guinea fowl with mushrooms as the wine's earthy character complements the gamey meat, or pair it with herb-crusted pork loin where the wine's refined structure balances the tender meat. Winemaker Isabelle Perrodo crafts this classically styled wine from gravelly soils that impart distinctive mineral complexity, creating a Bordeaux with traditional character rather than overtly fruity exuberance. The estate has been family-owned for generations and maintains the traditional Haut-Médoc winemaking philosophy of elegance and aging potential over immediate appeal. This concentrated Cru Bourgeois Supérieur represents excellent quality and will drink beautifully through 2030.

Food pairings: roast chicken, pheasant, veal Porterhouse.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
