Reviews and Ratings

Daniel O'Keefe rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Broad nose encompassing an array of aromas including fresh black cherry, dark fruit, spices and dried herbs, violet, cedar, and a note that brings me back to working harvests, freshly harvested red grapes on the crush pad. This blend of Carignan, Syrah, and Grenache is accessible with good acidity and soft tannins with grip on the finish. Ripe dark fruit flavours with a subdued earthy undertone. Tremendous value at $13.95, worth picking up a few bottles to enjoy the evolution over the next two to four years. Serve with beef and pork roasts, meat lasagna, or mushroom risotto.
From the Corbières, Midi Wine Region, Château Du Grand Caumont 2016 is a full-bodied rustic red and great value under $15. Tasty and grippy with blackberry, cassis, dark plum, herbs and cracked pepper flavours on the palate. Pair this drink now wine with a beef goulash or grilled bavette steak. This vintage was awarded Gold at the 2018 Concours International de Lyon. - Community Wine Reviews
