Lovely hazelnut and toasted almond on the nose of this medium-bodied French red wine. Aromas of black cherry. Complex with a long finish.

Reviews and Ratings

Matt Steeves - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

What an expressive Beaujolais from the mecca of Gamay! Intense nose showing layers of dark field berries, black cherry, stewed fruits, herbs, and spice. Well balanced, with great flavour concentration, this is a fine wine to enjoy with roasted small game, poultry, or even BBQ. Enjoy 2015-2020. Tasted May 2015. 91 points. Matt Steeves - www.quercusvino.ca
Produced by Maison Louis Jadot, this Burgundian Gamay features black plums, smoke and a spicy finish. - Community Wine Reviews

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
