A spectacular gewurztraminer: one of the best I have tried from Niagara! Opulent aromas of apricot and lychee, with a luscious and voluptuous texture. Full-bodied yet not heavy. Finishes with some light spices.

Gewurztraminer food pairings: beef stir fry over a bed of hearty buckwheat soba noodles, Asian dishes, Thai green curry, suishi.

This Gewürztraminer is grown on the west side of the Château on a 1 hectare (2.5 acre) parcel. You can easily spot these vines in the late summer and fall because they have a distinctive rosy coloured skin, not the typical greenish skin found on white wine grapes. The vines were planted in 1996 and are just now hitting their peak. The wine was made in stainless steel so to not mask the exotic falvours.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
