A vibrant, quaffable nouveau with dark cherry and peppers notes. Smooth and mouth-watering, this is an excellent value and one of the best Ontario nouveaus.

Gamay food pairings: hamburgers off the grill, spaghetti with meatballs or your favourite pizza.

Reviews and Ratings

Travis Oke rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

This is the true spirit of Nouveau. Bright [very light colouring], sour cherries, and a bit of effervescent hit on the palate. Top quality nouveau - well done Bosc family. I'm going out to get more - this will be perfect with a turkey dinner for Christmas. #jesuisarrive13 indeed
Dan Trcka Wine Blogger rated this wine as 86/100 with the following review:

The 2013 Generation Seven Gamay Nouveau is composed of Gamay Noir that was bottled one month after harvest. This wine that was meant to be fresh and vibrant, is just that – fresh and vibrant with notes of blackberry and sour black cherry on both the nose and the palate. It is a medium bodied, extra-dry (though perceivably dry), fruity wine; with good acidity, almost no tannins and a clean finish. Drink with food - pairs well with even hot and spicy dishes; drink now to next year’s batch is ready. My impression: quite pleasant, 86 pts. Tasted Nov/13.

Generation Seven Nouveau is made like classic Beaujolais Nouveau with the carbonic maceration method. This allows us to bottle the wine one month after harvest to be ready for Nouveau release day on the third Thursday of November; the 21st this year. Heat and lack of rain in September helped to make up for the less than stellar summer growing months. The resulting wines that were picked before the October rains, like this one, will have surprising depth and character. Our 2013 #JeSuisArrive will delight. But get it while you can -- we only made 589 cases. By the way, did you know that the label was the first wine we know of that incorporated a Twitter hashtag in it's name?
