Château de Maligny Petit Chablis from Burgundy is a lively, light-bodied and completely dry white drawn from 30-year-old vines and crafted entirely in stainless steel to let the land speak without interruption. The nose offers crushed oyster shell, green apple blossom, and a squeeze of lime zest, underpinned by that signature steely, wet stone quality that makes Chablis unlike any other Chardonnay on earth. Taut and precise on the palate with mouth-watering acidity and a clean, bracing finish, it is best served well chilled and enjoyed through 2028. Winemaker Michel Poitout tends the largest estate in the entire Chablis appellation, with the Durup family having cultivated these vineyards across fifteen generations since the 15th century. In a wonderful piece of royal trivia, the Château de Maligny vineyards were once the property of César de Vendome, the natural son of King Henri IV of France, who so prized the estate's wines that his patronage brought Maligny lasting recognition.
