Produced by Jérémie Huchet, vigneron, this winery is located on the hills overlooking the River Sevre where the earliest known vineyards date back to 1387. I can smell the sea on this Muscadet Sèvre Et Maine sur Lie with its grapefruit, lime, briny mineral flavours and mouth-watering acidity - a perfect match to steamed shellfish. Produced from Melon de Bourgogne grapes from vines that average 45 years of age.

Muscadet food pairings: raw oysters on the half shell with lemon and herb dressing, oyster hot pot, mussels Meuniere.

From Château De La Bretesche, a zesty Muscadet Sèvre Et Maine sur Lie from the Loire wine region. Love the vibrant grapefruit acidity on this medium-bodied Melon de Bourgogne made for a steamed mussel hotpot. Zesty grapefruit, citrus, flinty with a briny mineral finish and mouth-watering finish.
