Colour: Golden Lemon Yellow. Nose: Stone fruit (Peach, apricot), white fruit (pear), Floral, Passion Fruit, Honey. Palate: Medium body, creamy, butter fat, smooth nice balanced/cream finish. Food: Lobster, shrimp, clams, mussels, Linguini Carbonaro, food with cream sauce! Comments: A lovely wine! ... Exceptional balance and roundness made from the Chardonnay grape from a vineyard that produces some fine Grand Cru Beaujolais. (95 points chuckbyers.blogspot.com,June 20, 2025) MINE: Sumptuous peach-and-apricot essence and ripe-pear perfume mingle with a swirl of honeysuckle and crème-brûlée butterfat, all balanced by a chalky minerality and lively acid; its creamy mid-palate and seamless finish beg for lingering sips. A great match for lobster-ravioli in brown-butter sauce or creamy mushroom-and-thyme soup. NEW: Chardonnay grown near vineyards that also produce Grand Cru Burgundy goes into this white Beaujolais from Chateau de Chenas, farmed on the Le Paradis vineyard. Golden apple and quince open with a honeyed lift. Creamy texture and lively acidity give the wine real generosity. Toasted brioche lingers well after the last sip. A lobster tart or a rich risotto would make a genuinely luxurious match. Beaujolais spends most of its life being associated with Gamay, so a white this polished is a pleasant surprise.

Food pairings: seafood Alfredo, pasta alla vongole, grilled chicken and veggie kebabs, salads.
