Languedoc-La Clape Classique comes from the estate owned by a former winemaker at Château Lafite-Rothschild. Juicy and rich, a full-bodied Grenache, Syrah and Mourvèdre red wine blend matured in cement tanks for 18 months. Lots of blueberry, cherry and dark plum flavours smooth on the palate on this Southern-France red. Pair with Mediterranean-style roast chicken.

Syrah Grenache Mourvèdre food pairings: meat pizza, vegetarian lasagna, tortiere.

Reviews and Ratings

From the Midi wine region, Château D'anglès, Classique La Clape 2016 is a robust 40% Syrah, 40% Grenache and 20% Mourvèdre red wine blend with a dark cherry, garrigue herbs aromas smoky on the nose. Deep concentration and ripeness with dark plum, dark berry, sweet tobacco, wild herb flavours finishing smoky with toasty oak flavours on the palate. Enjoy with roast gamebirds. - Community Wine Reviews

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
