Natalie's Score: 93/100

From Baron Edmond de Rothschild, prop. from the Listrac-Médoc, Bordeaux wine region, Château Clarke 2016 is a concentrated Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot red wine blend lush with ripe cassis, blueberry, raspberry, plum and savoury spices finishing with good acidity for food. Tannins are rich and grippy. Showing beautiful now, but needs some time in cellar. Try in 2023 and pour with a big juicy ribeye steak.

Food pairings: beef tenderloin, prime rib roast, stuffed saddle of rabbit.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
