A great value for moderately priced Bordeaux. Leather, cigar box and dried herbs: classic mature Bordeaux. Smooth and complex. Pair with rare steak. Produced by Jean de Monteil, Prop., this French red wine blend of Cabernet and Merlot is made from grapes grown in the appellation Castillon, named in honour of the battle of 1453 that ended the Hundred Years War.

Food pairings: roast chicken paprika with onion and herb stuffing, onion pie, roast Bresse chicken.

From the Côtes de Bordeaux, Chateau Brehat 2012 is a well-priced deep-ruby Bordeaux (so pretty in the glass) with a leathery, cigar box and dried herb nose; on the palate the wine is ripe blackberries, leather and cedar underbrush. well balanced and very approachable now, but can easily cellar for another five years. - Community Wine Reviews

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
