A rich CNDP produced from Grenache, Syrah and Mourvèdre wine grapes, vinified in stainless steel tank and aged 70% in neutral oak barriques and 30% in stainless steel for one year prior to release. Beautifully rich on the nose with ripe dark cherry, red berry and savoury herb aromas, vibrant on the palate with dark cherry, black currant, fine herbs and savoury spice flavours. Good now, better in 2021.

Châteauneuf-du-Pape food pairings: roast beef, rack of lamb, duck confit.

Château Beauchene Vignobles De La Serrière 2017 Châteauneuf-Du-Pape is fine and elegant on the nose with ripe dark and red berry fruit, savoury herb and just a hint of spice. The winery is HVE certified “high environmental value” which is awarded to farmers and winegrowers who take a “reasoned” approach to growing their wine grapes. The wine is aged 70% in old barriques and 30% in stainless steel for 12 months before its release. Tannins are firm and this wine would benefit from a couple more years in cellar. Try in 2022. - Community Wine Reviews
