Vintages Wine Panel: A large region, Monterey is generally regarded as a cooler climate AVA thanks to the moderating ocean breezes from Monterey Bay. However, the organic grapes for this well-crafted Cab are sourced from the warmer southern end of the county furthest from this ocean influence. A great value, this approachable Cab has juicy blackberry and cherry flavors as well as notes of vanilla oak all balanced by a focused seam of acidity and suave tannins. My note: Spicy oak integrates beautifully with fleshy ripe notes of blackberries, game, dark spices, prunes and cassis. A consistent producer of well-structured and balanced Cabernets.

Cabernet Sauvignon food pairings: roasted lamb, meat fondue, mature hard cheeses, braised escarole and endive, kangaroo.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
