Natalie's Score: 88/100

This is a robust Spanish red wine blend of 60% Carignan and 40% Syrah grapes. Smoky with charred black fruit and a firm tannic grip. Decant 1-2 hours. Pair with a rare steak. OTHER: Aged in a combination of new and used French and American oak barrels for 14 months. Opaque ruby. Fresh dark berry aromas are complicated by notes of candied violet, black pepper and allspice. Juicy and sharply focused, offering vibrant black and blue fruit and bitter cherry flavors, with a spine of tangy acidity. The long, spice-accented finish reveals gripping, fine-grained tannins and an echoing blue fruit note. Drinking window: 2018- 2022. - Community Wine Reviews

Celler El Masroig food pairings: grilled lamb, roast of pork, grilled sausages.
