Spectacular! Round, full-bodied, layered, complex and generous. Mouth-filling flavours of green apple, toasted almond, hazelnut and green melon. Perfect for roast chicken, lobster in melted butter and great conversation.

Chardonnay food pairings: crab cakes, halibut, shellfish.

Reviews and Ratings

Each year, there are single blocks of vineyard that show us something unique - small spots where vine maturity, soil and climate combine to create something distinctly CedarCreek. From its cool site, high up in the vineyard (directly beneath our winemaker’s front porch), Block 5 gave us startlingly bright fruit in 2011. It deserved to shine, so we let it. We used no malolactic fermentation to soften it up, and chose 500-litre puncheons for aging to keep the oak influence gentle. We wanted this wine to be as pure as the grapes were when we tasted them at harvest. You can taste the unique character of Block 5 in every glass. On that you have our word.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
