Mocha and dark chocolate with some smoke on the nose of this full-bodied BC red wine blend of Cabernet and Merlot grapes. Savoury and supple with mouth-watering juiciness. Pair with grilled lamb chops.

Reviews and Ratings

Greg Hughes rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Cedar Creek has received a lot of attention across Canada, but has a pretty limited circulation in Ontario and that's a shame. They have some deeply rooted history. They continue to opertlate some of the oldest land used for producing wine grapes in BC and were some of the first folks to realize they needed to make the change from hybrids to traditional varietals.
Deep garnet colouration and nice woodsy aromas. Cigar smoke, red and black fruit. Chocolate dust, and lots of earthiness.
They own some properties in Osoyoos and in the outerlying area they call Dessert Ridge - Bordelais grape territory. Nice, full body with pretty generous oak - American and French. Lots of cherry, blackberry. Expect spiciness.
According to them, they have been honoured as 'Canada's Winery of the Year.' They were not on my radar, but now they are.
