From an iconic producer of Cabernet Sauvignon, Caymus Zinfandel is a big and bold California red from the Napa Valley. Look for ripe plum jam, savoury herbs, spicy and juicy on the palate. The Zinfandel wine grape was a favourite of Charles Wagner Sr.

Zinfandel food pairings: venison stew, venison sausage and wild mushroom sauce, spicy spatchcock partridge.

Reviews and Ratings

From the Napa Valley wine region, Caymus 2017 Zinfandel is a dry, full-bodied with layers of ripe red berry, jammy fruit, dark plum, cedar spice and white pepper flavours on the palate. Tannins are fleshy and this charmer of a Zinfandel finishes long and lush. Enjoy now and for the next five years. Pair with BBQ pork side ribs. - Community Wine Reviews
