Liquid gorgeous year after year, Cave Spring delivers this late harvest Riesling for our drinking pleasure. Apricot peach blossom. Perfect for angel food cake and fruit-based desserts. The Riesling grapes for this dessert wine are picked later in the fall, well after those from the dry style table wine. The result is much more concentrated flavours and fruit sweetness like apricot preserves. Pair this terrific wine with blue cheeses and toasted almonds.

Riesling food pairings: spice cake, crème brûlée, fruit-based desserts, pastries, fresh field berries in cream.

This late harvest Riesling is always a crowd pleaser. Intensely rich and inviting nose of apricot, peach,blossoms and hint of baking spices. The palate is warm with peach and apricot cobbler qualities. Crisp acidity to cleanse the sweetness. Perfect for spiced pumpkin muffins, pumpkin pie, or on it's own as dessert.

Skip dessert! The aromas of orchard blossoms, fresh peaches, and apricot compote combined with the off-dry, mellow, citrus peel, and panacotta flavours of this late harvest Riesling will make you forget about your sweet tooth. But, if you want to indulge, pair it with a fruit flan, pate d'amande, or mild blue cheese. Score 90. (Reviewed Nov. 2016)

The Riesling grapes in this terrific Niagara dessert wine hang on the vines well past the usual harvest for dry wines in the fall to let their natural sugar and flavour to concentrate into a lovely elixir. Finishes with pears dipped n honey and marmalade jam. - Community Wine Reviews
