Reviews and Ratings

Tania Thomas - CSW, WSET ADV rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

From steep limestone cliffs at the Cave Spring Niagara Vineyard comes this full-bodied, intense 100% Cabernet Franc. Vinified in a traditional Veronese appassimento method were portion of the grapes were air-dried for several weeks to naturally concentrate the flavours within and once pressed their juices enrich the final blend. It displays great complexity and refinement with a ton of dark fruit; cassis, ripe black cherries and plums with smoky overtones. Smooth tannins, plenty of weight and well balanced acidity, closes in a lingering cedar-box-tinged finish. Fantastic with roasts and grilled steak. Tasted April 2016/92 points. Red, White & Drunk all over by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean writes about wine with a sensuous obsession... and often laugh-out-loud funny... Terrific.

Ms. MacLean is the disarming Everywoman. She loves wine, loves drinking ... ultimately, it's a winning formula.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
