Lip-smacking delicious with pepper, cedar brush, anise and wild tart blackberry. Savoury finish. A chewy, meaty, savoury red wine with rich layers of dark red berries and cedar. Juicy and mouth-watering with a terrific balance.  Terrific quality for this price, especially for a French AC appellation wine.

Food pairings: grilled lamb, lamb tangine.

This is a raucous and chewy Côtes Du Rhône-Villages (2013) with blackberry, cherry, meaty, savoury and sweet spice on the palate. Castelas (2013) is made from Old Vines 40% Grenache, Syrah and 20% Carignan grapes. The wine was awarded gold at the coveted Concours Général Agricole competition in Paris in 2011. Pair with paprika pork roast or smokin'' lamb kebabs. - Community Wine Reviews

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
