Reviews and Ratings

From well-known producer, Castaño, Casa Carmela 2015 is fantastic value under $15. Frist vintage produced with U.S. importer Eric Solomon, this is a deep, dark and robust red blend of 85% Monastrell and 15% Syrah with violet hues in the glass, Black currants, blackberries, dark cherry and spicy on the nose with riper fruit on the palate. Ready to enjoy now. Pair with roasted lamb dishes The wine is fermented in stainless steel partially with whole-clustered grapes, matured in mostly French oak for six months. Excellent value and quality. - Community Wine Reviews

Red, White & Drunk all over by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean writes about wine with a sensuous obsession... and often laugh-out-loud funny... Terrific.

Ms. MacLean is the disarming Everywoman. She loves wine, loves drinking ... ultimately, it's a winning formula.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
