Cascina Chicco Rocche Di Castelletto 2015 Barolo Castelletto is produced from the Nebbiolo wine grape from vineyards with a South-west, west exposure particularly suited for Barolo. A lot of work goes into Barolo and this wine is fragrant and elegant with red berry, raspberry jam, anise and meaty aromas with more minty, nutty and figgy fruit flavours balanced with great food-friendly acidity. Tannins are medium and chewy. Good now, better in a couple of years. Try in 2023 with a standing rib roast.

Barolo food pairings: roast game meats, lamb kebabs, meaty lasagne.

Reviews and Ratings

Cascina Chicco Rocche Di Castelletto 2015 Barolo is produced from Nebbiolo grapes sourced from vineyards with a South-west exposure in the Piedmont wine region, the best exposure for Nebbiolo grapes. Fragrant with rose petals, ripe red berry, anise, fig, menthol and nutty flavours on the palate with pleasantly chewy tannins. Good now better in 2023 or cellar to 2033. - Community Wine Reviews
