Reviews and Ratings

This robust Italian rosé is made with Sangiovese and Canaiolo, the signature grapes of Chianti. The vines are dry-farmed, which adds extra depth and nuance to this refreshing rosé with lots of acidity. Terrific notes of wild strawberry and field flowers on the finish. Dry and crisp and medium-bodied. Great aperitif or sunset sipper. Dry, refreshing finish. Enticing floral aromas on the nose of this medium-bodied to robust rosé that pairs well with grilled seafood and veal. MINE: Carpineto Dogajolo (2016) is a robust Italian rosé made with Sangiovese and Canaiolo wine grapes. Vines are dry-farmed, which adds complexity and concentrated flavours to the wine. Lots of wild strawberries and red berries on this zesty acidity, medium-body rosé. The wine is dry and crisp and pairs well with grilled seafood and veal. The name Dogajolo comes from the Italian word doga that means "stave": the narrow pieces of wood used in the creation of oak casks. OTHER: Rosy pink, this rosé from Tuscany shows aromas of cherry and herbs. In the mouth the minerals flesh out the flavor, punctuated by orange zest, yellow plum, and a distinct peach pit earthiness that refreshes each sip. Very Good, Strong Recommendation. Score - 88 (Ultimate Wine Challenge, 2019). - Community Wine Reviews

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
