Produced by Elisabetta Gnudi Angelini and winemaker Massimo Bracalente, Caparzo is a full-bodied Brunello Di Montalcino made from Sangiovese wine grapes from vineyards located in the northern Montalcino Appellation as well as vineyards south of Montalcino. Tannins are firm and this wine has great ageability. More smoky dried herbs, spicy flavours than dark red fruits on the palate. Cellar for three years and pour with a venison roast.

Reviews and Ratings

This is a mouth-watering Brunello Di Montalcino made from Sangiovese wine grapes from vineyards from the north and south of the Montalcino Appellation. Caparzo 2013 is full-bodied, with smoky red cherry, dark fruit, savoury herb, sweet tobacco and flinty mineral flavours on the palate. Lovely now and better in three years. Give it some time to mellow and mature. Produced by Elisabetta Gnudi Angelini and winemaker Massimo Bracalente. - Community Wine Reviews
