Wow. Amazing, rich and intense dark fruit flavours on this medium-plus-bodied, mouth-watering Ripasso with blackberry, dark plum, blueberry, tobacco and earthy flavours that fill the mouth and linger on the palate. So good. Pair with sharp cheese, meaty lasagnes and grilled games sausages.

Ripasso della Valpolicella Classico Superiore food pairings: grilled pork sausages, pork ribs, hard cheeses.

Reviews and Ratings

From the Veneto wine region, Campagnola Giuseppe 2016 Ripasso Della Valpolicella Classico is a full-bodied Italian red wine blend of Corvina and Rondinella grapes hand-harvested in Marano, the hilly region of Valpolicella Classica. Made in the traditional Ripasso method of refermenting Amarone grape skins. Deep and dark with ripe plums, blackberry, black cherry, dried sweet tobacco, spicy and earthy with a long and lush dark chocolate finish. Great acidity for food. Enjoy with a meaty pasta dish or roast duck. - Community Wine Reviews
