Cakebread Cellars Chardonnay is a classic, top-of-the-line Chardonnay. Full-bodied, rich and zesty with poached pear, honeyed apricot, lemon curd and toasty nutty flavours on the palate. Most of the Chardonnay grapes for this vintage were sourced from the Carneros wine region. A portion of the wine was barrel-fermented in new French oak barrels and the wine rested on its lees for eight months on its lees prior to bottling. Pair with roast chicken.

Chardonnay food pairings: roast chicken, scallops with a sesame ginger dressing, cheese.

Cakebread Cellars 2018 Chardonnay is top-of-the-line Napa Valley Chard. Dry, medium-plus-bodied with ripe pear, red apple, baked goods, nutty and toasty on the palate with a Meyer's lemon zest finish. Grapes were sourced mainly from the Carneros with the balance from Napa Valley. - Community Wine Reviews
