Reviews and Ratings

Heather Wall - CS; WSET Advanced rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Dark and inky with a strong musty cellar aroma reminiscent of my Aunt's old wine cellar. Earthy, herbs de Provence, fresh berries, wet wool. Lingering smoke and tannic finish. Suggest decanting if you're enjoying today. Pair this with salt, fat and protein.
Good value at sub $20
From Madiran in the Southwest wine region of France, Brumont Tour Bouscasse (2011) is smokey, toasty and full-bodied with ripe, rich black fruits. Yikes! Madiran wines from southern French need a few years of aging in the bottle to smooth their tannins and bring the wines together. This is a savoury and muscular red wine blend of 40% Tannat, 35% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Cabernet Franc grapes. - Community Wine Reviews
