Tarry black and brooding with aromas of blackcurrant, cassis, black licorice and pepper. Full-bodied with lots of layers of flavour that can stand up to bold meaty dishes. A pleasantly bitter and refreshing finish. Complex and satisfying.

Barbera D'asti food pairings: pasta bolognese, Neapolitan pizza.

Deeply concentrated and fruit-driven Barbera with plenty of cherry and raspberry along with an appetizing meaty note. Soft, fruity and flavourful with a lovely mouthfeel. Enjoy it tonight. Source: Vintages Wine Panel, May 2012

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
